Visiting the Seaside Promenade in Split

Split has a beautiful seaside promenade, called Riva. This is where we celebrated New Year, but this is also a great tourist spot with much to see. I hope you will enjoy these easy going images of the city and promenade, as well as the view of the harbor and Adriatic Sea.

Our Travel to Split is made up of multiple parts. Other parts include:
Part One: Celebrating New Year's Eve in Split
Part Two: The Klis Fortress (Game of Thrones Location Photos 1)
Part Three: Diocletian Palace (Game of Thrones Location Photos 2)
Part Four: Visiting the Seaside Promenade
Part Five: Our Stay at the Radisson Blu Resort
Part Six: A Walk along the Winter Beach

People are enjoying their morning coffee in the comforting warmth of the sun.

A look out at the harbor, with some indirect sunlight shining through the trees.

The Split harbor is connected to a lot of ports in Croatia, as well as neighboring Italy.

Then we visited this large, open square, surrounded on three sides by a collection of elaborate neo-renaissance buildings known as the Prokurative.

I hope you enjoyed these sights from the promenade.

We have two more parts from Split to go, but up next will be a delicious recipe post tomorrow.

  21. Beautiful place and beautiful photographs. I was there in the summer. Those small buildings must be part of a Christmas market or other temporary event.

  33. The buildings are so colorful. I can't get over the lighting. It's so different from where I live in Central Coast California, but no where near the coast.
